Cosimo Spera has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. In 2004, they founded and served as CEO of Zipidy (formerly AQuattro) until 2010. From 2007 to 2012, they were the Head of Advanced Mathematics at DecisionView. Following that, they worked as an Independent Consultant at IMS Health from 2012 to 2014, where they led a team in developing predictive analytics and models for clinical trials. In 2013, Spera founded Beebell and served as CEO until 2018. During this time, Beebell became the first platform to offer personalized event recommendations based on user interests, location, and context. Cosimo also worked as a Chief Data Science Consultant at Innotas from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, they joined SaltGrid as Chief Data Science until 2019. As Chief Data Scientist at [24]7.ai from 2018 to 2019, they led a team of over 100 data scientists across three continents working on language models, conversational AI, and intent prediction. From 2015 to 2020, Spera served as an Advisor at EIT Digital. Most recently, in 2020, they founded Minerva CQ and currently serves as CEO. Additionally, in 2020, they founded Stealth and served as the Founder of Data Science until 2021.

Cosimo Spera obtained their Laurea degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Università degli Studi di Siena between 1979 and 1984. Later on, they pursued a PhD in Operation Research, although the specific years and institutions for their doctoral studies are not mentioned. However, it is known that they studied at Siena (Italy), Yale University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for their PhD.
