Michael Magee is the President of Minerva University, ranked the world’s most innovative university for 2022-2025. They served as the Director of the Office of Children Youth and Learning from 2007 to 2009, where they founded a department that continues to support thousands of students. As Co-founder and CEO of Rhode Island Mayoral Academies from 2008 to 2015, they led significant educational reforms and the establishment of multiple charter schools. Additionally, Magee was the founding CEO of Chiefs For Change from 2015 to 2022, advocating for innovative educational leadership across the United States. They have also taught literature, philosophy, and creative writing at various institutions, including Wheaton College, Haverford College, and the Rhode Island School of Design.
