Patrick Watson

Patrick Watson is a Professor at Minerva University, where they study the intersection of complex systems mathematics and brain function. With a focus on complex cognitive functions such as memory and decision-making, Patrick employs new approaches like neural networks and social graphs to advance this field. They have co-founded CEREVRUM, served as a research consultant at Lockheed Martin and Sandia National Laboratories, and worked as a research scientist at IBM. Patrick also leads the Minerva University AI Lab, overseeing student research and technology development in machine learning. They earned a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and a B.S. in Molecular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
