Torsten Doering has a long history of professional experience. Torsten began their career in 1996 as Marketing Director for Oerlikon Balzers, where they were responsible for branding, pricing, distribution logistics, customer service and several efficiency projects. In 2007, they took on the role of Marketing Manager for Ivoclar Vivadent AG, where they were responsible for managing all aspects of the market segment of soft tissue lasers and curing lights in the U.S. In 2008, they began their academic career at Daemen University, where they served as Associate Professor and Director of the MBA Program, Associate Professor and Director of the International Business Program, Assistant Professor and Director of the Global Business Program, and Adjunct Professor. In 2011, they took on the role of Technical Marketing Manager for PCB Piezotronics, in addition to their role as Adjunct Professor at D'Youville College. In 2017, they became Assistant Professor at Minerva University, and in 2020 they took on the role of Academic Program Manager with Minerva Project.

Torsten Doering has a diverse educational background. Torsten obtained a Dipl. Ing. in Mechanical Engineering from Cologne University of Applied Sciences between 1986 and 1990. Torsten then went on to complete a Dipl. Wirt. Ing. in Industrial Engineering from Hochschule Niederrhein between 1990 and 1991. Doering then earned an MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from University at Buffalo School of Management, The State University of New York between 2000 and 2003. Finally, they completed a PhD in SOM - Operations Management and Strategy from University at Buffalo School of Management, The State University of New York between 2011 and 2017. Doering also holds certifications in Duolingo Spanish Fluency: Intermediate (Estimated) from Duolingo (obtained in November 2015), CPIM from APICS (obtained in June 2018), and Introduction to R (edX 2.1) from DataCamp.
