Founded in 2020, Minervas Films is a women-led collective based in the Dominican Republic. We are dedicated to telling powerful stories about social justice, gender, and politics. Our work aims to amplify often unheard voices and provide platforms for critical debates.

It is the first production company in the Dominican Republic with a gender perspective and the first to implement a sustainable protocol in its productions. We were honoured to be invited to the 3rd Edition of the Foro Caribe Naranja to share our experience. Our projects have received national funding (FONPROCINE) and international grants such as IBERMEDIA and have been selected to represent the country at major international markets such as Cannes and Locarno.

Through documentaries, short films, and multimedia campaigns, we strive to create positive impact, raise awareness, and foster dialogue on crucial issues such as gender equity, human rights, violence prevention, social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and cultural preservation. With an ethical and collaborative vision, we transform stories into tools for change.
