Brian Yan

Brian Yan has work experience as a Test Engineer at MineSense Technologies Ltd. from 2021 to present. Prior to that, they worked at Sierra Wireless as a Test Engineer from September 2019 to May 2020. At Sierra Wireless, they contributed to the development of an automated test platform using python and shell scripting, maintained and debugged C based automation test programs, and validated CAN bus signal integrity. Before that, Brian worked as a Medical Data Analyst Coop at the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Simon Fraser University from January 2018 to May 2018. In this role, they contributed to the establishment of a medical database and algorithm development for a head concussion assessment model, developed database modules in Microsoft Access, and analyzed data from various head concussion tests, treatment results, and brain stimulation strategies.

Brian Yan attended Fraser International College from 2013 to 2014, where they studied Engineering. Brian then went on to Simon Fraser University, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from 2015 to 2020. In June 2017, Brian obtained a certification in Basics of CNC Programming & Machining from the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Simon Fraser University.
