Luke Devall started their work experience as an Intern Project Engineer at Sparrows Group in 2010. Luke then worked as an Intern Design Engineer at Neptune from 2011 to 2012. From 2012 to 2019, they were a Design Engineer at Neptune Subsea Engineering, where they provided technical solutions to engineering design problems in the offshore oil and gas industry. Luke managed projects from concept to completion and was involved in all stages of the engineering solution process. In 2017, Luke briefly worked as an Engineering Manager at Mercer stainless, where they were responsible for designing stainless steel silos for the dairy industry and overseeing a team of designers/drafters. From 2019 to 2020, Luke worked as a Mechanical Engineer at NORAM Engineering & Constructors Ltd., where they worked in a multi-disciplinary team to deliver chemical process plant designs. Luke was involved in sizing and designing heat exchangers and pressure vessels, as well as plant piping design and analysis. Currently, Luke is a Team Lead, Mechanical at MineSense Technologies Ltd. since 2020. In this role, they lead a team and contributes to the revolutionizing of the mining industry by combining advanced sensing technologies and data analytics to differentiate ore from waste rock, boost mine profitability and sustainability, and reduce the environmental footprint.
Luke Devall attended Plockton High School from 2001 to 2007, completing their secondary education. Luke then pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Aberdeen, from 2007 to 2012.
