Michael Fraser

Michael Fraser is a Senior Electrical Design Engineer at Minetek, specializing in the electrical designs of turnkey solutions and commissioning projects since June 2021. Previously, Michael gained experience as an Electrical Design Engineer at Glencore Coal and as a Graduate Electrical Engineer at both Glencore's Integra underground operation and Mangoola open cut operation, where skills in resource industry operations were developed. Earlier roles included an Undergraduate Electrical Engineer position at Ampcontrol, overseeing electrical switch room designs, and a Vacation Student role at Glencore Coal Assets Australia, where mining knowledge was expanded. Michael's foundation in engineering was further supported by summer internships and work experiences at Tomago Aluminium, focusing on automation and safety engineering. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Business from the University of Newcastle, as well as a Postgraduate Degree in Data Analytics from the same institution, with additional studies at Clemson University.
