Vikram Manchanda

Vikram manchanda is an accomplished and a widely respected business leader in the it industry. In 2015, he founded the aws public sector business by enabling aws's entry into india's burgeoning market. He anchored aws's multibillion-dollar investments in the two cloud regions in india. He set the vision, developed strategic partnerships, hired the leadership team and builit the aws organization from its inception. His focus included customers, partners and startups in government, education, healithcare, bfsi and energy segments. As the country head of the india and south asia business, his direction enabled aws to become the leader among the cloud providers focused on the $1 billion government cloud market. In his last role at aws as the digital transformation leader in the global team, he was responsible for the adoption of india's cloud-based innovative solutions in the international markets. Prior to aws, vikram performed various leadership roles at microsoft, where he spent ten years. As the cloud leader, he was responsible for the microsoft azure cloud launch in india. He represented the cloud industry to the government for opening up the cloud market as early as in 2013. He led microsoft's efforts in formulation of india's cloud policy, indias national cloud meghraj and accreditation of private cloud providers. He collaborated with industry bodies including nasscom, dscl and mait to provide advice to regulatory agencies on data classification, security and privacy policies. Before the cloud role, vikram started microsoft india's focus on global financial institutions such as the world bank, ifc and aslan development bank. He also led microsoft's strategy to build its power and energy verticals and established it in the enterprise segment vikram has served on various boards including mait, india smart grid forum and startup funds. His expertise is in mainstreaming disruptive technologies by creating financially viable business models and wide-scale adoption. His personal passion liesin the future of healthtech and he believes that the power of al and emerging tech will transform human capacity.
