David Billington

David Billington is an experienced mining professional with a comprehensive background in various leadership and consultancy roles within the industry. Currently serving as Quarry Manager and Principal Consultant at Mining Plus since October 2012, David specializes in feasibility studies, expert study reviews, and open-pit mining technologies, with a focus on commodities such as iron ore, rare earths, and gold. Prior to this role, David held significant positions at Fortescue Metals Group, Lynas Corporation Ltd, and Sons of Gwalia, among others, demonstrating a strong lineage of expertise in mining engineering and management. David holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining Engineering from the University of New South Wales and completed high school at North Sydney Boys High School.
