Robert Johnston

Solutions Architect at Minitab

Robert Johnston has extensive work experience in various roles related to quality improvement and Six Sigma. Robert currently works as a Senior Manager for Global Quality Continuous Improvement at Integra LifeSciences since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Solutions Architect at Minitab from 2020. From 2019 to 2020, they served as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt at Molex, where they worked with suppliers to improve quality and developed internal reporting dashboards.

Before Molex, Robert was the Managing Partner at Property Czars, a HomeVestors Franchise, where they were involved in buying, wholesaling, and retailing properties in the Raleigh area. Robert joined Property Czars in 2016 and worked until 2019.

From 2010 to 2017, Robert worked at Saudi Aramco as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, focusing on process improvement. Prior to that, they were a Master Black Belt Consultant and Ph.D. Statistician at Robert Johnston & Associates, Inc. from 2001 to 2011. Robert also briefly worked as a Master Black Belt at the same company in 2005.

Robert's earlier career includes roles as an MBB at TRW from 2000 to 2010, a Master Black Belt Consultant at Nortel in 2008, and a Master Black Belt Consultant at DHL from 2007 to 2008. Robert also served as the Executive Director of Six Sigma at the International Institute for Learning from 2005 to 2007.

Robert Johnston earned a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Manitoba, where they studied from 1988 to 1993. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Statistics at Brigham Young University from 1979 to 1986.
