John Shands

John Shands is a software engineer currently employed at Minted since June 2021, with previous experience as a rapid responder at CTEH® from April 2020 to May 2021, where work involved large-scale projects across the U.S. John completed a certificate in full stack software engineering at Prime Digital Academy, during which full-stack applications were developed using the PostgreSQL, Express, React, and Node stack. Experience includes managing data and virtual platforms at United Way of Greater Kansas City, automating tasks and coordinating events, and supervising operations at Starbucks, where training and performance evaluations were part of the role. Additionally, John volunteered as a grant writer for Imagine and Believe, contributing to a hunger-relief program in Searcy and securing donations. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication from Arizona State University.
