Maje Phasha is a Chief Engineer and Scientist at Mintek, specializing in the development of advanced materials since 2021. With a PhD in Physics (Computational Materials Science) from the University of Limpopo, Maje completed their MSc in Physics there in 2006 and a BSc with majors in Chemistry and Physics, along with an Honours degree in Physics. Prior to Mintek, they held positions as Principal Engineer at Transnet and Senior Researcher at CSIR, where they focused on the design and development of functional materials. Maje has also participated in research as a Visiting Researcher in Japan and a Visiting Post-Graduate Student at the University of Oxford.
