Sonja Read

Sonja Read is a Partner at MinterEllison, specializing in health regulatory law within the national Health Industry group. They advise various entities in the health sector, including pathology and diagnostic imaging providers, on regulations, public funding, privacy, and medical ethics. From 2014 to 2021, Sonja served as Special Counsel and Senior Associate at the same firm, and they also held a position as an Associate at the Federal Court of Australia in 2004. Sonja is currently a Board Member at Arthritis Australia and a legal member of the Human Research Ethics Committee at Bellberry. They obtained a Master's degree in Law from the University of Pennsylvania and hold both a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Psychology from The University of Queensland.
