Martins Valters

Martins Valters is the current COO & Co-Founder at Mintos. Prior to this, they were a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young where they acquired a great knowledge of the financial sector by running numerous audits of large banks and their groups in Latvia and Switzerland, as well as insurance, leasing and asset management sector. Martins was also responsible for running matrix based structure audit team consisting form 2-10 team members. In 2014, they ran a team performing European Central Bank's Asset Quality Review in 2014 for an international bank having operations in Latvia.

Before Ernst & Young, Valters was a Summer Intern at Swedbank where they assisted the financial planning department and bank's macroeconomist.

Valters has a great knowledge of financial instrument related accounting and auditing matters and is IFRS expert. Martins is also the lead contact person for IFRS related matters within Baltic region.

Martins Valters attended Rīgas Ekonomikas augstskola - Stockholm School of Economics in Riga from 2001 to 2004. Martins also attended Rigas valsts 1. gimnazija.
