Jacob Goodelman

Jacob represents life sciences clients, including pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, in complex commercial litigation and arbitration disputes. He has tried numerous cases to verdict and has litigated matters before the Massachusetts Superior Court, Federal District Court of Massachusetts, First Circuit Court of Appeals, and Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.

Jacob has litigated cases involving intellectual property, product liability, breach of contract, energy law, and employment law. Prior to joining Mintz, he was an associate in the Boston office of a national law firm, where he advised clients in a variety of disputes, including matters arising from various commercial agreements and contracts.

During his practice, Jacob has represented several Fortune 500 companies in commercial matters. His experience also includes serving as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Boston. In that position, he tried six jury trials to verdict, represented the City of Boston and Boston police officers in civil rights cases in Federal District Court and Suffolk Superior Court, and defended the City of Boston in employment litigation matters and against tort claims.

In law school, Jacob served as the communications editor on the New England Journal on Criminal and Civil Confinement. As an undergraduate, he captained Providence College’s Division 1 lacrosse team.
