Michael A. Pollack

Associate at Mintz

Michael is a litigator who brings experience as a lead prosecutor in criminal jury and bench trials to his work representing Mintz clients facing a wide range of legal challenges, including white collar and government investigations, securities litigation, regulatory investigations, and complex commercial litigation.

Prior to joining Mintz, Michael was an assistant district attorney in the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office, where he represented the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Trial Court and Appeals Court. Michael prosecuted criminal cases from arraignment through trial and served as lead prosecutor in over a dozen jury trials and more than 50 bench trials. Michael also assisted the Appeals Unit by drafting numerous briefs, motions, and oppositions, and made oral argument before the Massachusetts Appeals Court. He also served as an appointed special assistant district attorney in the Essex County District Attorney’s Office.

In addition to serving Mintz clients through his litigation practice, Michael serves as a captain in the JAG Corps of the Massachusetts Army National Guard. As deputy chief of legal assistance, he advises soldiers on an array of legal issues pertaining to administrative, fiscal, labor and employment, contract, and family law and researches and interprets state and federal law to guide commanders on various legal issues. He maintains an active secret security clearance.

In 2018, Michael worked on Governor Baker and Lieutenant Governor Polito’s reelection campaign, serving as political director for Boston and as a member of the campaign’s legal team.
