Joel Penner

Joel Penner is a seasoned professional in civil engineering and road safety, currently serving as the Manager of Data Services at Miovision since February 2023. Previously, Joel held the positions of Road Safety Specialist and COO at MicroTraffic, where the application of AI for extracting near-miss data from traffic videos contributed to life-saving decision-making processes. Joel’s career also includes roles as a Transport Infrastructure Specialist at Fireseeds North Infrastructure, Engineering Internships at multiple organizations, and a General Labourer position at WBS Construction, all focusing on various aspects of road safety and engineering design. Joel Penner earned a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Manitoba, complemented by a high school diploma from Garden Valley Collegiate.
