Vignesh Sankar has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Vignesh started their career at the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, where they served as the Elektronica club coordinator and Technical Events Coordinator for Elan 2k14. In 2013, they joined EXILANT Technologies Private Limited as a Summer Intern, gaining exposure to IoT and CoAP software application development. Vignesh then worked at Bank of America as a Sr Tech Associate, developing applications in Python and gaining experience in Java, SQL Server, and Unix. In 2016, Vignesh joined Christie Digital Systems as a Research Scholar, implementing radiometric compensation algorithms. Vignesh improved existing methods and achieved state-of-the-art performance. Concurrently, they pursued a Master of Applied Science at the University of Waterloo, extending radiometric compensation work and developing an interpretable deep learning framework for lung nodule classification. In 2019, Vignesh Sankar joined Miovision as a Computer Vision Developer and later became a Senior Computer Vision Developer.
Vignesh Sankar completed their Master's degree in System Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, from 2011 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, Vignesh also earned several certifications, including "Learning the OWASP Top 10" from LinkedIn in October 2022, the "Natural Language Processing Specialization" from Coursera in October 2020, and the "Deep Learning Specialization" from Coursera in September 2018.
