Drew Clements is an experienced metallurgist and optimisation team lead with a strong background in various roles within the mining and processing industries. Currently serving as the Optimisation Team Lead at Mipac since February 2022, Drew manages the optimisation team that supports control systems through a process engineering perspective. Prior roles include positions at Ausenco as a Metallurgist, Roy Hill as a Senior and Plant Metallurgist, and St Barbara Limited as Processing Superintendent. Drew also held the position of Underground Ore Handling System Project Leader at Rio Tinto Diamonds, where optimisation efforts were made for the Ore Handling System. Earlier career experiences include roles at Mining Talents International, Mine Services Victoria, and Barrick Gold Corporation. Drew holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Extractive Metallurgy from Federation University Australia.
