John Thompson

John Thompson is an experienced professional with a diverse background in business development, product management, marketing, and project management. Currently serving as a Business Development specialist at MIPS AB since August 2019, John previously held roles as a Product Manager for VITUS BIKES at Chain Reaction Cycles and as a Senior Product Manager and Bike Helmet Product Manager at Scott Sports SA. Earlier experience includes marketing and operations at Suspension Center and business management at Thompsons Architects. John has also worked as a Regional Sales Manager at Ultimate Positioning, focusing on Trimble Mapping product sales, and as a Product Manager in Mapping at Trimble Navigation. John’s career began at Caterpillar Inc. where project management roles were undertaken. Academically, John Thompson earned an MSc in Engineering Management from Loughborough University and a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Galway.
