Senior Manager - R&D

Steve Lesser is a Computer Graphics R&D Developer and Leader with over 15 years of experience in both technical management and individual contributor roles across renowned companies such as Miris, Wētā FX, Bungie, Pixar, NVIDIA, and Stanford Graphics Lab. Having successfully led the development of the Loki multiphysics simulation system, they established Wētā FX's Simulation Research group, fostering a collaborative culture. Currently, Steve serves as a Senior Manager of R&D at Miris, focusing on streaming immersive content. They have received significant recognition, including 20 on-screen credits and the first Visual Effects Society Emerging Technology Award for their work on the Water Toolset in "Avatar: The Way of Water" in 2023. Steve holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University.
