Daryl Brown

Daryl Brown is the Executive Director of External Affairs for the South Region at Midcontinent Independent System Operator, where they oversee regional operations, customer management, and government relations. With a background as a change agent in large corporations, Daryl previously served as the Director of Innovation/Utilities at Hitachi Global Social Innovation Business and GE Lighting, focusing on Smart Cities and Smart Spaces. Their career also includes leadership roles at Georgia Power Company and Mississippi Power, managing teams and developing strategies to enhance customer service and operational efficiency. Daryl honorably served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 17 years and holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Mississippi State University. Passionate about family and community, Daryl has contributed to various boards, including United Way and the Boys & Girls Club.
