Mike Deising

Mike Deising is an accomplished Executive Director of Strategic Communications with a diverse background in media relations, public affairs, and communications strategy. They began their career at Capital Health as a Media Relations and Issues Management Coordinator from 2005 to 2007 before progressing to roles such as Press Secretary for the Department of Energy, Government of Alberta, and Public Information Officer for the Washington State House Republican Caucus. As the Director of Communications for the Government of Alberta from 2009 to 2012, they focused on reputation management and stakeholder engagement. Most recently, Mike served as Senior Director of Strategic Communications at the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) after a tenure as Director of Communications and Stakeholder Relations at AESO. Mike is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government at the University of Alberta.
