David Lemayian

David Lemayian serves as the Regional Director for the Eastern and Southern Africa Open Mapping Hub under the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team, where they focus on participatory mapping and community-led development. They have extensive experience as a technical advisor, working with organizations like Hivos, TIMBY, and the Tony Blair Institute, specializing in digital strategies and open data initiatives. David has also held leadership roles at Code for Africa, overseeing various projects that enhance transparency and civic engagement across Africa. Currently, they are the founder of Tenery Research, which supports organizations with strategy and technology in areas such as climate resilience and governance. David is pursuing multiple degrees in business, IT, and accounting from Strathmore University.
