Paromita Basak

Paromita Basak is a Doctoral Student who has advanced to candidacy at the University of Maryland, where they also work as a Graduate Research Assistant. They gained experience as an International Alumni Mentor at the U.S. Department of State from 2020 to 2022 and contributed to various projects as an Executive Project Assistant for ISEPEI since 2020. Paromita has held multiple roles, including GIS Intern at Harris County Public Health, Teaching Fellow at the Asian University for Women, and Project Assistant at the Bangladesh Open Innovation Lab, where they managed the "Cities’ COVID Mitigation Mapping" project. They completed their Master of Science in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Central European University in 2020 and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences and Mathematics from the Asian University for Women.
