Bob Albrecht

COO at MissionWired

Bob Albrecht is currently the COO at MissionWired. Prior to that, they were with LivingSocial as an Assistant Editor from July 2011 to March 2012. There, they were responsible for editing and creating copy in more than a dozen markets and managing a staff of freelance writers. Bob also helped hone best practices for AmazonLocal, a joint venture with LivingSocial. Write Around Portland was their next stop as a Volunteer from February 2010 to July 2011. There, they performed tasks including but not limited to: writing profiles on featured writers, entering data, narrowing a list of anthology submissions, and greeting guests at readings. Bob also led a group of writers through a 10-week workshop. Bob's previous company was The Columbian where they were a breaking news, Web reporter from December 2009 to July 2011. There they covered breaking police and fire news for the Web and print editions of The Columbian. Daily, they drew a majority of The Columbian's article-opens. Bob wrote front page features on a ticket-giving elected sheriff; a man who became a motivational speaker after surviving a crash that sent him into a six-week coma; the failing infrastructure of the city's fire departments, and a prosthetic swimming arm.

Bob Albrecht was a journalist who studied at the University of Oregon and Washington Center for Politics and Journalism.
