Jonathan Burns

Jonathan Burns, Ph.D., currently serves as the Vice President of Monitoring Technologies at MISTRAS Group, Inc., a position held since August 2024. Previously, Jonathan has been with MISTRAS Group Ltd since March 2010, where responsibilities have included managing UK operations as Managing Director and leading the Oil, Gas & Industrial sector. In these roles, Jonathan provided strategic guidance to achieve growth targets, supported sales engineers across multiple regions, and managed business development activities, particularly in the UK and Middle East. Jonathan's experience also encompasses client-facing roles as an Applications Engineer, focusing on high-value monitoring and testing applications. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Materials Science and a BSc (Hons) in Joint Honours Materials Science, both from the University of Birmingham.
