Vice President for Information Systems and Technology at MIT

The vice president for information systems and technology (IS&T) is responsible for leading the IS&T organization in implementing a technology vision in support of MIT's education, research, and administrative programs. Working with the Information Technology Governance Committee, the vice president is a key contributor to the development of information technology policy at MIT. The vice president oversees long-range systems planning and projects.

IS&T is an organization of approximately 300 professionals who provide core information technology services for the MIT campus. IS&T also provides services and advice to MIT’s departments, laboratories, and centers, and partners with faculty, students, and staff to support digital learning initiatives and research endeavors. The vice president represents IS&T and MIT to external parties and to the higher education IT community, and lends expertise to help others fully capitalize on technological advances.
