Modupe Olufemi, MSc, currently serves as an Advisor in Business Development at Mitacs since February 2024. Previously, Modupe held positions at the Life Sciences Career Development Syndicate (LSCDS) as Industry Team Case Study Co-Lead and Team Lead for Career Seminars, where responsibilities included recruiting industry professionals and facilitating career development workshops. Modupe's experience also includes working as an ITCS Medical Affairs Trainee, collaborating on a medical education strategy for an ALS compound, and serving as a Student Intern at the Graduate Management Consulting Association, where a business fundamentals course was completed. As a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Toronto, research focused on CRISPR-Cas9 technology and managing a substantial mouse colony. Modupe started in the field as a Research Specialist at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, generating mouse models for neurodegenerative disease studies. Modupe holds a Master of Science in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Bryn Mawr College.
