Christopher Clouet currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Education and Chair of the Division of General Studies and Education at Mitchell College since August 2021. Previously, Christopher held roles at Teachers College, Columbia University as an Adjunct Professor and member of the Advisory Board for the Urban Education Leadership Program from 2010 to August 2021. Christopher's experience includes serving as Special Advisor to the Commissioner at the Connecticut State Department of Education, Superintendent of Shelton Public Schools, Superintendent of Westchester, NY, Superintendent of New London Public Schools, Superintendent of Thomaston Public Schools, and former Principal at Bristol Central High School. Christopher earned a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Master’s degree in Portuguese & Brazilian Studies from Brown University.
