Marc Vivet

Principal Researcher at Mitek Systems

Marc Vivet has accumulated extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Marc started their career as an intern at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2006, where they also worked as a Ph.D. student in Computer Vision. During this time, they gained experience in motion detection and mosaicing. Marc later became an assistant professor, teaching courses such as Data Base 1, Expert Systems, and Computer Graphics II. Marc also served as a professor in the Master's Degree in Video Game Design.

In 2011, Marc joined Owlab as the CTO and worked as an iOS/Android developer. Marc then worked at Universitat Pompeu Fabra as a support staff member to research.

In 2012, Marc joined Imagination Technologies as a research engineer, specializing in Computer Vision. Their work involved research and development in areas such as convolutional neural networks (CNNs), tracking, keypoints, and other computer vision technologies. Marc used programming languages like C, C++, OpenCL, OpenGL, and Python.

From 2013 to 2017, Marc taught Universal Windows Platform at UAB - Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. In 2016, they became an assistant professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, teaching courses on Geometrical Computation and Advanced Visualization.

In 2017, Marc worked as a teaching consultant at Trentia Consulting, teaching Universal Windows Platform. Marc also taught Xamarin.Forms at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

In 2017, Marc joined WIDE EYES TECHNOLOGIES as a Senior Research Engineer and later became an Applied ML Scientist. Their responsibilities included applying machine learning techniques and conducting research in relevant fields.

Currently, Marc is working at Mitek Systems as a Senior Research Scientist and Principal Researcher.

Marc Vivet obtained their Engineer's Degree in Computer Science from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona between 1999 and 2007. Marc then pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence at the same university, completing it in 2008. Marc continued their education at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, earning a Ph.D. in Computer Vision from 2008 to 2013.
