Shaela Nelson

Shaela Nelson is an Architectural Designer at Mithun since July 2022, with prior experience as a Graduate Research Assistant and Founding Council Member of the Diversity Advisory Council at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from September 2020 to July 2022. In this role, Shaela advocated for equity and diversity, offering support and resources to students, faculty, and community stakeholders. Additionally, Shaela worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Criminology Department, where archival work involved digitizing historical photo negatives of the Louisiana State Penitentiary. Shaela also gained experience as an Architectural Intern at Snow Kreilich Architects in the summer of 2021. Shaela holds a Master of Architecture degree and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, both from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, completing the Master's program in May 2022.
