Vivas Kumar's work experience includes serving as the CEO and Co-Founder of Mitra Chem, a lithium-ion battery materials product company. Vivas was responsible for shortening the lab-to-production timeline and focused on developing iron-based cathodes for the EV industry. Vivas also worked as an Investor at The 21 Fund, a seed fund that built and invested in Stanford Graduate School of Business startups. Prior to this, they were a Member of the Advisory Board at Lookthrough, a Senior Advisor at A10 Investimentos e Assessoria, and an Advisor and Principal at Benchmark Mineral Intelligence. Vivas pursued an MBA at Stanford University Graduate School of Business from 2019 to 2021. Before that, they worked at Tesla, where they held roles in Battery Supply Chain and as a Program Manager for Supply Chain Automation. Vivas also gained experience as a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company, working with energy, agriculture, and enterprise technology clients. Additionally, they served as the Chief of Staff to the Executive Director at Engineers Without Borders-USA/Engineers Without Borders-International.

Vivas Kumar has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Before that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rice University. Additionally, they pursued non-degree graduate-level coursework in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology.
