Aaron Lippold is the Chief Engineer and creator of the MITRE Security Automation Framework, actively leading initiatives in DevOps, SecDevOps, and automation for federal sponsors. With a tenure at MITRE since 2014, they have guided a multi-level team in developing technology and capabilities to meet the unique business needs of clients across various government agencies. Prior to this, Lippold gained experience as a Cyber/IT Security Researcher at Virginia Tech Applied Research Corporation and served as a Senior Technology Advisor for the Defense Information System Agency. Lippold holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science, along with a minor in English Interpretive Theory from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
