Alan Dinerman

Senior Manager for Cybersecurity and Data Protection Principal Consulting

Alan Dinerman possesses extensive experience in cybersecurity, technology, and policy. Currently serving as a Senior Manager at MITRE from July 2018 to March 2024, Alan manages a department focused on cybersecurity research and capability development in support of NIST, overseeing significant budget projects targeting national issues such as trustworthy AI and critical infrastructure resilience. Prior to MITRE, Alan held the position of Information Network and Technology Officer in the US Army, leading secure information network initiatives for eight years. Additionally, since April 2023, Alan has been an Adjunct Faculty member at Georgetown University, teaching cyberspace policy and strategy. Alan holds multiple advanced degrees including a Ph.D. in Public Administration and Policy from Old Dominion University, along with master's degrees in Engineering Management and Information Resources Management, and a BS in Comparative Politics from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
