Alexander McGlothlin is currently the Lead Economist at MITRE Corporation, a position held since 2021. Prior to this, they completed a PhD in Economics at the University of Kentucky from 2015 to 2020 and served as a Postdoctoral Scholar there in 2020-2021. Alexander earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering at the University of Virginia, where they also contributed as a Research Assistant in the Economics Department. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Systems Engineer for TJ CubeSat, leading a team to develop a high school-designed satellite, and interned at the Naval Research Laboratory, focusing on hydrogen fuel cells.
