Ben Thompson

Ben Thompson is an experienced Artificial Intelligence Engineer at MITRE, where employment began in March 2022. Prior to this role, Ben was a Data Science Intern at QuantAQ, contributing to the development of a Python package for predicting NO2 concentrations and enhancing computational efficiency for air quality research. Ben's academic background includes a PhD in Mathematics and Statistics from Boston University, where significant teaching experience was gained as a Teaching Fellow and Instructor, covering topics such as Machine Learning and Differential Equations. Additionally, Ben served as an NSF GK-12 GLACIER Fellow and gained experience in science journalism as an AMS-AAAS Mass Media Fellow with Voice of America. Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Cornell College.
