Brian Simmons

Brian Simmons is an experienced professional in the field of systems engineering, currently serving as the Department Manager for Transportation Communications Engineering at MITRE since November 2021. Prior to this role, Brian held various positions at The MITRE Corporation from October 2003 to November 2021, including Associate Director for Analysis Capability Integration, Chief Architect for Research Computing, and Program Manager for the Airspace Redesign Department. Additionally, Brian was the Site Leader for MITRE CAASD's Taipei site office and managed the Taiwan CNS/ATM modernization systems engineering consultancy. Brian holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia, completed in 1996 and 1994, respectively.
