David Tanenbaum

David Tanenbaum is a seasoned professional in health informatics and biotechnology with extensive experience in leadership and management roles. Currently serving as the Director of the Health and Society Innovation Center at MITRE, David oversees a large department focused on public health and environmental sciences. Previous roles include Portfolio Manager (acting) for the NIH, where David shaped work programs and built relationships, and Health Informatics Group Leader at MITRE, leading transformative health initiatives. David has held significant positions at ESAC Inc, The J. Craig Venter Institute, and Celera, focusing on bioinformatics and genomics to enhance human health. David holds a PhD in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University and a BA in Chemistry from the University of Virginia.
