Dr. Eric Katz

Dr. Eric Katz is a Sr. Cyber Security Engineer at MITRE, where they design capabilities and frameworks for various projects, including the Safer Viewing Platform. They completed a PhD in Cyber Forensics at Purdue University, focusing their dissertation on machine learning for a privacy-preserving masquerade detection system. Dr. Katz has taught cyber forensics at both graduate and undergraduate levels and collaborated with law enforcement agencies during their tenure at Purdue. They have also contributed to significant advancements in mobile forensics and have presented research at conferences such as the American Academy of Forensic Sciences.
