Edwin Torres, EngD, is a software engineering leader with over 30 years of experience in the field. Currently a Principal Software Engineer at MITRE, they provide technical direction and lead a team in developing innovative projects, including ACE Direct for the Federal Communications Commission. In addition to their role at MITRE, Torres serves as an adjunct professor at both Monmouth University and Brookdale Community College, teaching software engineering and computer science courses. They also hold degrees in Computer Science from Rutgers University and New Jersey Institute of Technology, as well as a Doctor of Engineering from The George Washington University.
