Eric Newman

Eric Newman is an experienced Agile Systems Design Engineer and Department Chief Engineer at MITRE since January 2020, leading a diverse team of experts in systems engineering, human-centered design, Agile transformation, AI/ML, and Digital Engineering. In addition to this role, Eric has served as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University since 2015, teaching Continuing Education courses on Application and Web Usability, and previously taught a Full Stack Development Bootcamp at The George Washington University from March 2016 to January 2020. Eric held key positions at Mobile Posse as VP of Research & Development and VP of Products, focusing on mobile content solutions and targeted advertising. Prior experience includes senior technical roles at AOL and Redgate Publishing, as well as a senior systems engineer at Martin Marietta/GE/RCA, contributing to various aerospace and defense projects. Eric holds multiple certifications in web development and testing methodologies, and educational credentials include extensive coursework in electronics technology and music theory.
