Jeffrey Arnold

Chief Scientist | Climate + Environmental Sciences

Jeffrey Arnold is currently the Chief Scientist for Climate and Environmental Sciences at MITRE, a position held since April 2022, where efforts focus on solving problems for a safer world. Prior to this role, Jeffrey served as the Lead Climate Scientist and National Program Manager for Climate Science for Engineering Applications at the U.S. Department of Defense from October 2009 to April 2022. Jeffrey's earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Scientist and Lead Scientist for Atmospheric Processes at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's National Center for Environmental Assessment from June 2007 to October 2009, and as a Staff Scientist in the Experimental and Computational Atmospheric Chemistry division at NOAA and US EPA from 1997 to 2007. Jeffrey holds a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
