Joe Walton

Joe Walton, Ph.D., is an entrepreneurial leader with extensive experience in technology, security, and business. They currently serve as an Adjunct Faculty member at American University, teaching cybersecurity, and as the MITRE InfoSec Customer Engagement Manager, where they lead a team in enhancing information security programs. Previously, they held the role of Information Security Officer at the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and served as Chairman of the Powhatan County Board of Supervisors. Joe earned a Ph.D. in Public Policy from Virginia Commonwealth University, focusing on cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies.
