Lesley Weitz

Lesley Weitz is a Senior Principal Aerospace Engineer and Department Chief Scientist at The MITRE Corporation's Center for Advanced Aviation System Development (CAASD), where they focus on simulation and algorithm development for aviation standards. Lesley holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University, where their research centered on dynamics and control of multi-vehicle systems. Previously, Lesley contributed to various aerospace initiatives including roles at NASA Langley Research Center and as a product engineer at Moog. They have also engaged with professional organizations, serving as a director for the Aerospace Sciences Group at AIAA and mentoring students in robotic space colonization.
