Luke Johnson

Luke Johnson is a physicist at MITRE Labs with a PhD in Physics from the University of Maryland, where they also completed a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics. With extensive experience in laser-matter interactions, they have worked on a variety of topics, including underwater acoustics and air-plasma chemistry, during their tenure at institutions such as the Naval Research Laboratory and the University of Maryland. Previously, Luke served as a private tutor from 2009 to 2015, providing over 300 hours of support in math and physics to high school and undergraduate students. Their research contributions include developing methods for measuring variations in earth's magnetic field and modeling laser propagation in atmospheric conditions.
