Marcus Smith

Marcus Smith is a Lead Multi-Disciplinary Systems Engineer at MITRE CAASD, specializing in system optimization and analysis, traffic flow management, and collaborative decision making. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Multi Discipline Systems Engineer at MITRE and a Graduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they focused on new technology development for gas turbine engines under the NASA UAPT program. In addition, Marcus has contributed as a Committee Member and Panel Member for various transportation research initiatives, including projects involving airport capacity and operational planning. They earned a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and hold a BEng(hons) in Aeromechanical Systems Engineering from Cranfield University.
