Mark Kaufman

Mark Kaufman has extensive experience in project and risk management, currently serving as the Department Head at MITRE since February 2009, where leadership encompasses a team of 80 professionals catering to internal customers and government sponsors. Prior to this role, Mark Kaufman was the Associate Department Head at Affiliated Computer Services from August 1981 to February 2009 and held the position of Vice President PMO at Loral from 1990 to 1994. Earlier, Mark Kaufman worked as a Project Manager at both Loral and the Department of Defense from 1974 to 1981, where engineering expertise was also applied. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.
