Mary Tolbert

Mary Tolbert is a seasoned professional in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), currently serving as a Principal Model-Based Systems Engineer at MITRE since January 2003. In this role, Mary performs MBSE tasks throughout the entire systems engineering life-cycle, utilizing advanced modeling tools for requirements and model development, as well as auto-code generation. Additionally, Mary provides MBSE expertise for diverse engineering and modeling teams engaged in the design and implementation of various Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal systems. Previously, Mary held multiple leadership positions, including Lead Model-Based Systems Engineer and Lead Enterprise Architect at the U.S. Air Force from 1993 to 2003, where responsibilities included serving as Group Chief Software Architect and Software Project Manager. Mary holds a Master of Science in Information Resources Management from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of California, Davis.
